About the Author:

Jozer Guerrero is a poet/ musician based out of Denver, CO. Jozer's work has been featured on HBO, MTV, Univision, TED Talks, PBS and American Theater Magazine. Jozer's poetry can be described as a Spanglish roller coaster combining comedy with political commentary, prepare yourself to laugh and cry all in one sitting.

"Grab Your Rocks & Throw is a call to witness, remember, and move. In these pages, Jozer Guerrero wields language like a stone in the palm, arcing toward systems that would rather we stay silent. His poems walk bicultural streets, dance cumbia under the moon, carry the weight of ancestors, and stare down the ghosts of our histories. Obsidian Tongues:

 Hosted by the second poet laureate of Pomona Ceasar K Avelar, Obsidian Tongues is a monthly, community-focused open mic for poetry, spoken word, and storytelling, held on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Café Con Libros and the the last Saturday of every month at Lopez Urban Farm. The event provides a welcoming space for diverse voices and celebrates the working class.
