Elma Correa nació y vive en Mexicali, donde coordina el encuentro internacional de escritores Tiempo de Literatura y gestiona @habitaciones_propias, una comunidad virtual donde las mujeres del mundo comparten los espacios donde crean. Ha escrito Que parezca un accidente (2018); Mentiras que no te conté (2021), con el que recibió el XX Premio Nacional de Cuento Juan José Arreola; Llorar de fiesta (2022); Lo simple (2023), Premio Bellas Artes de Cuento San Luis Potosí Amparo Dávila, y La novia del león (2024). Su última novela es Donde termina el verano, galardonada con el Premio Biblioteca Breve 2026.

Elma Correa, born 1980 in Mexicali, where she still lives, is a fiction writer. She coordinates the international writers’ conference Tiempo de Literatura UABC in Baja California and runs @habitaciones_propias, a virtual community where women from around the world share the spaces in which they create. She holds a BA in Hispanic American Language and Literature, an MA in Sociocultural Studies, and a PhD in Society, Space, and Power. Her books include Que parezca un accidente (Nitro/Press, 2018); Mentiras que no te conté (UDG, 2021), which received the 20th Juan José Arreola National Short Story Prize; Llorar de fiesta (BUAP, 2022); Lo simple (INBAL, 2023), winner of the Bellas Artes San Luis Potosí Amparo Dávila Short Story Prize; La novia del león (Nitro/Press, 2024); and the novel Donde termina el verano (Seix Barral, 2026), winner of the Biblioteca Breve Prize.

Ana Fuente estudió la licenciatura en Lengua y Literaturas Hispánicas en la UNAM. En 2015 fue beneficiaria de Jóvenes Creadores (FONCA) en cuento. Ha publicado cuento y ensayo en revistas y en diversas antologías publicadas en México y el extranjero, como Resistencia (Endira, 2018), Frontera norte. Antología de narrativa chilena y mexicana (Cinosargo/Mantra, 2020), Ni una sola palabra (UANL, 2021), Los cuerpos que habitamos. Ficción y no ficción sobre nuestro derecho a decidir (ANALFABETA/UANL, 2021) y Mexicanas 2: infancias perdidas (Fondo Blanco, 2022). Es autora de los libros Chicharrón de oso y algunos cuentos del fracaso (FETA, 2018) y Mosaico de lo insólito (La Rumorosa, ICBC 2021). En 2019 recibió el Premio Dolores Castro de Narrativa por La ley Campoamor.

Ana Fuente earned her degree in Hispanic Language and Literature from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She has received grants from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) under the Young Creators program and from the Program for the Stimulation of Artistic Creation and Development (PECDA BC) in the Established Creators category. Her short stories and essays have appeared in magazines and various anthologies published in Mexico and abroad. She is the author of the books *Chicharrón de oso y algunos cuentos del fracaso* (FETA, 2018), *Mosaico de lo insólito* (ICBC, 2021), and *Cicatrices* (BUAP, 2023). In 2019, she won the Dolores Castro National Narrative Prize for *La Ley Campoamor* (IMAC, 2019; Nitro Press, 2023), and in 2024, she received the State Literature Prize for her short story collection *Territoria*. She conducts workshops and works in translation and copyediting. She has made Baja California her home for the past thirteen years.

Claudia D. Hernández-Warwas nació y creció en Guatemala. Es fotógrafa, poeta, editora, traductora y educadora bilingüe residente en Los Ángeles. Hernández-Warwas es autora de *Knitting the Fog* (obra finalista del premio Firecracker 2020 en la categoría de no ficción creativa). Asimismo, ha sido galardonada como editora por su libro de fotografía y antología titulado *Women, Mujeres, Ixoq: Revolutionary Visions*. Es fundadora del proyecto continuo *Today’s Revolutionary Women of Color*. Claudia posee una maestría en Bellas Artes (MFA) en Escritura Creativa de Antioch University Los Angeles. Su obra ha sido publicada en diversas revistas literarias y antologías en línea de Estados Unidos, el Reino Unido, Canadá, México, Guatemala y España. Claudia fue galardonada con el premio Louise Meriwether First Book Prize en 2018.

Claudia D. Hernández-Warwas was born and raised in Guatemala. She’s a  photographer, poet, editor, translator, and a bilingual educator residing in Los  Angeles. Hernández-Warwas is the author of The Orchid of Quetzali, Knitting the Fog, a finalist for the 2020 Firecracker Award in Creative Nonfiction. She is also an  award winning editor for her anthology  photography book titled Women,  Mujeres, Ixoq: Revolutionary Visions. She is the founder of the ongoing  project: Today’s Revolutionary Women of  Color. Claudia holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles. Various online literary journals and  anthologies throughout the United States, the UK, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, and Spain have published  her work. Claudia is the recipient of the 2018 Louise Meriwether First Book Prize.

Sonia Gutiérrez es autora de dos libros de poesía bilingües: *Spider Woman / La Mujer Araña* (Olmeca Press, 2013) y *Paper Birds: Feather by Feather / Pájaros de papel: Pluma por pluma* (El Martillo Press, 2024) —obra que recibió una mención honorífica en la categoría de Mejor Libro de Poesía (autor único, bilingüe) de los premios ILBA (Juan Felipe Herrera)—, así como de la novela *Dreaming with Mariposas* (FlowerSong Press, 2020), ganadora del premio Tomás Rivera Book Award 2021, de los International Latino Book Awards 2022 y de los ILBA Book into Movie Awards 2023. Imparte clases de composición, pensamiento crítico y escritura, y escritura creativa.

Sonia Gutiérrez is the author of two full-length bilingual poetry collections, Spider Woman / La Mujer Araña (Olmeca Press, 2013) and Paper Birds: Feather by Feather / Pájaros de papel: Pluma por pluma (El Martillo Press, 2024), recipient of an honorable mention for the ILBA’s The Juan Felipe Herrera Best Poetry Book Award—One Author—Bilingual, and the novel, Dreaming with Mariposas (FlowerSong Press, 2020), winner of the Tomás Rivera Book Award 2021, the International Latino Book Awards 2022, and the ILBA Book into Movie Awards 2023. She teaches composition, critical thinking and writing, and creative writing.

Roberto Emilio Leni Olivares nació en el puerto chileno de Valparaíso. Su familia se exilió en Estados Unidos en 1976 a consecuencia de la dictadura de Pinochet en Chile. Es miembro organizador del Colectivo 9/11 y del Colectivo de Poetas ECHOSPACE del East Side Café en el East L.A. En 2001 fue artista residente en el Headlands Center for the Arts y recibió una beca de la USC en 2007. Coorganizó y participó en dos eventos de USC Visions & Voices: *Memoria Poética* y *The Mobile Voices of LA's Immigrants* (2011-2012). Sus relatos cortos se han publicado en *El Andar*, *Lucero* y en el catálogo de arte *Two 9/11s in A Lifetime: A project and exhibit on the Politics of Memory*, entre otros.

Roberto Emilio Leni Olivares was born in the Chilean port of Valparaíso. His family was exiled to the U.S in 1976 as a result of Pinochet’s dictatorship in Chile.  He is an organizing member of Colectivo 9/11 and of Colectivo de Poetas ECHOSPACE of the East Side Café in East L.A. In 2001 he was artist-in-residence in the Headlands Center for the Arts, and received a fellowship from USC in 2007. He co-organized and participated in two USC Visions & Voices events: Memoria Poética and The Mobile Voices of LA's Immigrants 2011 - 2012.  His short stories have been published in El Andar, Lucero¸ and in Art Catalogue:  Two 9/11s in A Lifetime: A project and exhibit on the Politics of Memory, among others.

Héctor Sánchez (Guadalajara, 1989) es magíster en Derecho Constitucional y Amparo. Su carrera profesional se ha desarrollado en el ámbito jurídico. Sus poemas han aparecido en las revistas Arquetipos y Adynaton (CETYS), así como en los medios digitales Literatura Libre y El Septentrión. La industria de las burbujas no cree en las cosas que terminan (2025) es su primer libro, publicado por la Secretaría de Cultura de Baja California.

Héctor Sánchez (Guadalajara, 1989) holds a master’s degree in Constitutional Law and Amparo. His professional career has been in the legal field. His poems have appeared in the magazines Arquetipos and Adynaton at CETYS, as well as in the digital outlets Literatura Libre and El Septentrión. La industria de las burbujas no cree en las cosas que terminan (2025) is his first book, published by the Baja California Department of Culture.
