Matriarchy, Sacred Poems by Briana Muñoz is set to release in October 2025 by El Martillo Press. The event will be a celebration of Briana’s 3rd book publication, a collection that puts the Indigenous matriarchal existence on the forefront of the fight for social liberation. Accompanying Muñoz will be four photographers including Cherille Williams (Fort Wingate, NM), Daniel Gomez (Orange County), Mainardo Flores (San Diego County), Jordan Verdin (San Diego County), and three poets including Angelina Sáenz, Anahí Samaniego, and Ignacio Carvajal. Their works selected will elaborate on the power of the Matriarch and indigenous identity.
